Third generation Photoluminescent paint now available:
Re-Light (read more)
Light Futures Inc.'s third generation high-quality photoluminescent
paint is now available for our customers. This is a new development
based on the high performance strontium aluminate pigments
and a new, high tech epoxy binder. The binder system contains
no solvents or allergenic components and has very good adhesion
to most common building materials. Ideal for LLL in crew quarters,
engine rooms, public buildings, tunnels and other enclosed
areas. The LFI 11A will glow with a strength of 600 millicandela/m2
after 10 minutes when fully charged with 1000 Lux and be visible
in a dark room for more than 100 hours if applied in thicker
layers (>1 kg/m2 ) (Read more)
Photoluminescent Ceramic tiles (read
more)
Light Futures Inc. has developed a new product: photoluminescent
ceramic tiles for use in connection to floors, walls and
ceilings where the use of paint, low location strips or other
is not feasible. (Read more)
Photoluminescent emergency and guidance signs (read
more)
We offer a wide range of photoluminescent (PL)-signs. All
of our signs are produced on 0,68 mm white-enameled recycled
aluminum, but may on demand be produced on PVC. All symbols
on our signs are made according to ISO, NS and IMO-regulations
(customization of signs is possible). Our signs provide escapees
and others long and strong afterglow-effects making wayfinding
in the dark easy. (Read more)
Water penetration in photoluminescent products (read
more)
Light Futures Inc. has developed a new pigment that
prevents water penetration (in e.g. humid and damp areas
like tunnels etc), thus avoiding de-lamination of PL-signs & LLL-products
often found in most of the available photoluminescent signs,
paints etc on the market. Light Futures Inc. uses
these pigments in our brand new “Safety Way Guidance System”
products, produced with our “Encapsulated, Strontium Aluminate,
Phosphorescent Pigments.” The pigment has our highest afterglow
properties! (Read more)

How to compare test-results from suppliers of photoluminescent
products
Light Futures Inc. makes products for real-life applications,
not for laboratory tests. We therefore test our products in
normal lighting conditions (e.g. 25 lux) in order to make sure
our products still pass the necessary requirements for saving
lives. Ask other suppliers of the same and ask for their measurements
at normal light instead of 1000 lux which is done in the DIN
67510 measurements (the 1000 lux measurements are usually the
test-results one receives).
Our test-results
Control in accordance with ISO 15370:2001 Annex A. Illumination
for 24 hours 25 lux (real-life light). Complete darkness
and reading after 10 and 60 minutes. Please note: Only
25 lux charging light, and not 1000 lux (DIN 67510) like
so many other companies' use! Light Futures Inc. makes
products for real-life applications - not laboratory tests.

All our products have passed Fire Test Procedure Code -
2 and 5 necessary for wall and bulkhead mounting in escape
routes in enclosed areas. When comparing measuring and test
results from other suppliers, ALWAYS ask them what their
tests are based on! Test results should reflect the actual
conditions where the products are to be used, and not optimal
laboratory conditions (contact us
for more information).
